Alberta Invited 199 Candidates in Five AAIP Draws

New Rounds Under Alberta Advantage Immigration Program

On October 23, 2025, Alberta released results from five draws under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP).

  • October 8 & 10: 46 Express Entry and 41 non-Express Entry candidates invited via the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway.

  • October 15 & 16: 10 agriculture and 13 aviation professionals selected under Priority Sectors.

  • October 21: 89 candidates invited through the Accelerated Tech Pathway, with a minimum score of 60.

So far in 2025, Alberta has invited 7,108 candidates across all AAIP streams.

Manitoba Holds a New Skilled Worker Draw Under MPNP

Focus on Strategic Recruitment

On October 23, 2025, Manitoba conducted its 266th MPNP draw, inviting 29 skilled workers under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams.
Nine invitations were issued to candidates with valid Express Entry profiles and job seeker codes.

So far this year, 7,015 candidates have been invited, including 1,267 Express Entry applicants.

Canada Expands Francophone Student Pathway to Permanent Residence

Increased Application Cap and Simplified Language Requirements

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) expanded the Francophone Minority Communities Student Pilot, raising the application cap to 2,970 spots for the August 2025–August 2026 intake.
Applicants can qualify with French proficiency at NCLC level 5, significantly improving access to permanent residency for Francophone international students.
